  Historical Meanings of Sheol & Hades

  Sheol, according to the ancient Hebrews, was a huge underground cavern where the spirits of the dead dwelt. Both the good and the evil went there and they were supposed to have been asleep or barely conscious. Sheol is more accurately translated as the underworld. Hades was the later Greek term used for Sheol.

  It is later, in the imaginations of theologians, that the underworld became compartmentalized into Paradise and Gehenna with the righteous and the wicked in their separate suites. The condition of the spirits was also more vivid. There they awaited the resurrection were their immortal spirits would be united with immortal bodies.

  Sometime after the New Testament was written the underworld was eliminated and replaced with the current heaven and hell divisions. The resurrection can be considered an anticlimactic event since both sides know that they're going to either roast or dwell in orgasmic bliss through eternity.

  Oh I forgot! The evil will suffer even more after the resurrection because they'll have physical bodies to feel the pain even more!

  so i had a discussion with my mother about this, and she claims that because of this that: "we are surely living in the last days right now" while i must admit myself that the situation seem chaotic, i don't want to believe that it is the last days.

  so question is, how do i face an opinion like that?

  I don't pretend to have the answers but some fresh ideas are needed. As I mentioned on another post perhaps they could train 100,000 refugee men in the military and send them back to fight ISIS. When the dust settles their families can return.

  been sitting on this for a few days, confining my anger, to an area where i can control it.. two indian sisters to be raped as 'punishment' after brother eloped.

  What did the "great powers" do to create this refugee situation? It is ISIS and other not so great powers that are responsible for it.

  As for the immigration problem I think that the West should stop all legal immigration but allow desperate refugees that have risked their lives temporary asylum. There is, unfortunately, a limit as to how many millions and tens of millions of people can be absorbed by any nation.

  So long as the problems in that part of the world remain the refugee crisis is going to remain. The problems those nations are undergoing have to be resolved and that will probably require some level of military intervention.

  Creative ideas in solving the issue are necessary. I don't pretend to have the answers but it's worth a brainstorm. Perhaps refugee men of military age can be trained to be soldiers and sent back to their countries in order to overthrow the governments/ISIS responsible for this mess.

  Another idea is to invade those nations to keep ISIS in check and then arm the Kurds (not to be confused for the regular Sunnis who are reluctantly allying themselves with ISIS in response to Shiite persecution). I believe in the three nation solution for Iraq with autonomy also for the Kurds in other nations. They will fight to the death if we assist them and I don't mean the half ass containment policy that Obama has.

  Something has to be done.

  i need information how the organization teaches members to shun any dealings with those they think are apostates, i am being labeled apostate by uncle crap head.

  where is the magazine about "we wish we had the authority to kill apostates like the days of israel but the government does not allow this"?

  As a strategy it would be good to select two good quotes with the physical copy, one recent and one older. If you only use the old quote they will claim that it's outdated (something they often time do). By using both you will show that they not only have a current policy but have an ongoing one.

  Prepare to have a Watchtower CD on hand at the court (though that won't go back to 1952) and a laptop. A physical copy of the 1952 Awake quoted here might help. You need concrete evidence, not just links that they can claim are faked. If you don't have a Watchtower CD I can mail you a 2013 one for free. You can PM me for that.
